Gearbox # 7701397 911/01
Paint Code: 6610 L Glacier Blue (Special Order)
A 1970 Porsche 911T Targa. 2.2 liter. Special order very desirable color combination, glacier blue with a tan interior.
All correct numbers car. Porsche of North America no longer issues COA’s as of March 2019 so matching cannot be verified but it is all period correct.
A very straight body. It has rust holes as you can see in the pictures. Original floors are solid in the middle but trunk area and battery box are rusted out.
The interior is all there but needs to be restored. Good glass all the way around.
The original engine does not run but turns over freely by hand.
An excellent original car needing restoration.
Any questions welcome.

It is now quite a few years ago that Porsche had its American headquarters in Reno, Nevada. With so many of its customers in nearby California, and from the perspective of corporate taxation, the move from New Jersey probably made sense. However, it didn’t take very long for German executives to tire of the even […]
Many people believe that the air-cooled Porsche 911 market is inflated to the point that they have become unaffordable. I beg to differ. In the past 9 months, the prices on those sports cars have fallen quite a bit, and if you spend time shopping, you can find a nice 911 for less than $30,000. […]
Citing inspiration from the Rodeo Drive Concours d’Elegance and its founder, Bruce Meyer, and from clothing designer and car collector Ralph Lauren and his 2011 Western Collection, and from Texan and collector Phillip Sarofim, Ruf Automobile GmbH has unveiled the Ruf Rodeo Concept, the German tuner’s idea for an off-roading Porsche 911. Ruf, which also […]
We’ve seen people who use fingerprints to unlock their cell phones. We’ve also seen Jeeps with printed-on-vinyl topographic maps wrapped on their hoods. And now Porsche — you read that correctly — Porsche is offering to put your fingerprint on the hood of your sports car. “A Porsche as personal as your own fingerprint,” the […]
Want to add a quick, clean 150 horsepower to your Porsche 911? Vonnen, a California electric-hybrid manufacturer, has developed a plug-in kit that provides added power without losing fuel economy or effecting engine emissions. Called Shadow Drive, it’s a retrofit electric kit for Porsche 911, Boxster and Cayman that replaces the engine flywheel with a […]
Contending that “retro has never been as strong as today,” German tuning specialist DMC has launched Emozione GT, its retro-styled aerodynamic body kit for the 992 generation of the Porsche 911. The kit follows the company’s earlier SV-inspired wing for the Lamborghini Aventador and its Classic Countach wing for the Lamborghini Huracan. The company says […]
