Vehicle Description
The "square body Chevy" is one of the best and most popular GM
truck platforms ever produced. Introduced as the replacement for
the also classic 1967-1972 generation, the square body had a lot to
live up to! Though consumers may have been initially suspicious,
the square body quickly proved itself a worthy replacement. Both
the Chevrolet and GMC versions of these trucks are sought after
today both as a collector vehicle and a reliable workhorse. Those
that survived use as an industrial vehicle, like this 1984
Silverado long bed, are a rare example and certainly a hot
commodity these days! A square body K10 long bed is possibly one of
the most desirable of these trucks. With 'K' designating 4 wheel
drive, a K10 is what anyone looking for a capable truck needs!
This is a nearly stock, largely unmolested, 1984 Silverado square
body. Offered in the classic and eye-catching color combination of
blue on blue, this pickup has survived 35 years without being
abused, heavily modified, or otherwise used up. Tasteful
aftermarket upgrades include a modern radio, rally wheels, and dual
exhaust. Aside from those upgrades, this truck is basically exactly
how it rolled off the lot back in the '80s! This is a vehicle that
has simply been maintained. Though you may find minor wear and
scratches in the paint finish, this can certainly be expected on a
vehicle this old. The exterior is in overall great condition and
needs nothing to be enjoyed as-is.
The interior, much like the rest of the truck, is in great original
condition aside from a recovered bench seat and new carpet. All
original items are showing some age, but are in good overall
condition for regular use. The light blue interior is a great match
to the dark blue exterior! The new material on the seats really
makes the color pop. If you're looking for a time machine back to
the late 1980s, this just might be your ride! Equipped with power
windows, however, the passenger side is not operational.
Under the hood is a carburetor 5.7 liter Chevrolet V8 (AKA Chevy
350). This truck was originally equipped with a 5.7 rather than the
anemic 5.0 (305) engine. While this truck isn't fast, it isn't
meant to be. For a reliable workhorse, this Silverado would be a
perfect vehicle for anything from house projects to light towing.
The engine runs great and feels strong. Hooked up to a 700R4
automatic transmission, this truck would be a great daily driver or
around town errand runner.
Though the introduction of the GMT400 marked the impending end of
the square body in 1988, the 1980s were quite possible the heyday
of these wonderful vehicles. Unmolested, un-modified examples like
this are getting harder and harder to find! This truck won't last
long! If you're after a good quality, light use pickup this just
might be the vehicle for you!

commercial carriers. Most of which can deliver the vehicle to your
driveway. We assume no responsibility for damages or delays
incurred once a vehicle is in a shipper's custody.

affiliates, it is the customer's sole responsibility to verify the
accuracy of the price with the dealer. All advertised prices
exclude local, state, government fees and taxes and dealer
