Vehicle Description
We are pleased to present this 1965 Dodge Dart GT "Charger". This
completely restored Charger has the original 273ci V8 with the 4
barrel carburetor in the correct Yellow paint and correct vinyl
top. It is extremely rare as there were only 480 badged as the Dart
GT "Charger" and only a handful known to exist today. The
restoration was completed in 2015 in Chester, Virginia. It was
built at the Chrysler Assemble plant in Maywood California on
February 23, 1965 and Shipped to Barcus Motors in Roseburg Oregon
where it was sold to the first owner on April 5, 1965. The
transmission is the A-833 Close Ratio 4-Speed Manual with original
Hurst Shifter. The rear axle was converted to the 3.55
Posi-traction during restoration. It has a single exhaust including
the original Chrysler resonator. It has the original factory
installed AM radio with rear speaker plus equalizer. The engine was
totally rebuilt. The pistons are .030 oversize with 9.8 compression
ratio. Original ratio was 10.5. It has hardened valve seats for use
with unleaded gas. The transmission has new synchronizer and
bearings with new clutch and pressure plate. It has all new brakes
and bearings, new shocks and all suspension parts were bead
blasted. The front end was completely rebuilt as well. The paint is
in fantastic condition and the interior is amazing. The 14 inch
tires with the Cragar mag wheels sets this car off just right. This
car has all the documentation including Original Broadcast sheet,
original title, certified production record, copy of window sticker
and two binders of information that also have the restoration
pictures. This car has won numerous awards and it is ready to win
