This 1979 Cadillac Coupe DeVille in excellent condition; it has 29,314 original miles on it.  The car has a yellow exterior and interior and an uncommon hard metal top.  (Most '79 Coupe DeVilles were sold with vinyl tops.)  This rust-free car has always been garaged and well cared-for in Florida by its seller.  The seller is a Cadillac & LaSalle Club and Antique Automobile Club of America member who showed the car repeatedly.  The car is beautiful inside and out and all the photographs included here are recent.

The seller invested $13,195.18 to improve the car.  The air conditioning, braking, and rear differential systems have all been serviced.  The upper and lower ball joints, inner and outer tie rods, center-link and idler arm, sway bar bushing and related links, front and rear coil springs, coil spring insulators, power antenna, fuel pump, fan clutch, battery, and rear brake shoes and cylinders have all been replaced, as has the entire exhaust system.  The wheels have been aligned, the carburetor has been cleaned and adjusted, and new Dayton wire wheels and new American Classic P215/75R15 tires with 1.3" whitewalls have been installed.  Receipts and work orders documenting all of the seller's improvements are included.

This car is completely functional.  The air conditioning system works and blows cold air.  Both the power windows function normally, as does the cruise control system, windshield wiper mechanism, and defogger.  The trunk release button, gearshift, transmission, and all the interior lights work.  The leather seats are not torn, scratched, burned, stained, or blemished.  The carpeting is reasonably clean and the chrome and paint are very clean.  None of the windows are chipped or cracked.  The car shows extraordinarily little wear and tear.

The seller is a Cadillac enthusiast and collector who had planned to keep and show the car over a long period of time.  Great effort was undertaken to make the car perfect, even to the extent of investing more in it than is justifiable considering its value.  The previous owner converted the car into a lowrider and considerable expense was devoted to reversing his changes and returning the car to its original factory stock condition.

Numerous original documents related to the initial purchase of the car by its first owner are also included.  Among such documents are the original GM factory build sheet, window sticker, owner's manual, "Odometer Mileage Statement," and the dealer "Pre-Delivery Check List," along with two pamphlets entitled “Warranty Information on 1979 Cadillac New Cars” and “1979 Cadillac Consumer Information.”  Also included are a dealer envelope labeled “Presenting Your Car Owner’s Companion,” a publication entitled “Notice to New Cadillac Owners Regarding Chemical Paint Spotting,” and the first owner's Kansas vehicle registration and vehicle tax return forms.  Some of these documents were laminated by a previous owner.  Additionally, two original 1979 Cadillac sales brochures, one small and one large (folio-size), are included.  And, also included as part of this listing is a CD/DVD entitled "1979 Cadillac Chassis & Fisher Body Shop Manuals."

There are some imperfections in the car.  The mirror on the inside of the passenger’s-side visor is cracked.  Floor mats are not included.  The two front seat belt holders are cracked.  The audio system produces sound but not optimally.  There a some scratches in one location on the rear fender.  The right front headlight (pictured) sags a little.  Some of the yellow paint on top of the steering column has faded or fallen off.  There is a small area, about 6” square (pictured), on the inside of the rear deck lid where something is bubbling underneath the paint.  The car shows minimal but normal wear-and-tear.  The seller is aware of no other problems or defects in the car.
