FOR SALE: 2002 Honda S2000 $26,900
I am the second owner of this beautiful 2002 Honda S2000 AP1 which I bought in May 2015. I have had fun driving and showing this excellent example of a precision Honda sports car however, it is time to let someone else to enjoy this fun car. The first owner is the owner of a prominent southeastern Pennsylvania Honda dealership purchased new in 2002 through a dealer auction.
The car has never been driven in rain or snow and has always been garaged. The mileage is 11,037 original mileage as shown in the photographs. No accident history and all the serial numbered body panels are intact. Everything in this car is original except for me replacing the stock air filter with a K&N air filter. An original Honda air filter which was equipped when purchased is included.
There are one small stone chip located on the front hood and one on the right front fender, and a chip on the edge of driver’s door panel. All can be easily restored. Minor curb rash on the right alloy rims.
The paint is otherwise in excellent condition shown in the popular Spa Yellow Pearl color that covered 1,110 S2000’s in 2002.
The car has the original and stock naturally aspirated 2.0 liter double over-cam VTEC engine that revs to 9,000 RPM and develops 240 HP. A 6-speed manual transmission was the only transmission choice of the entire S2000 production run from 1999 to 2009.
The car is equipped with standard air conditioning and an AM/FM/CD radio which has a remote control on the left side of the instrument panel.
The leather interior is in excellent condition with no sign of wear and as well as the original black cloth top. Seats provide good comfort and support. The top is tight without wind noise and seats easily onto the windshield header. The top has a glass rear window which was new to the model as of 2002. All glass and plastic lens coverings are clear and undamaged.
The purchase includes the original convertible top cover, owner's manual, tools, and indoor car cover.
If you remember when Volkswagen introduced its Golf hatchback to the American automotive marketplace, you might not want to admit it. That’s because it was 45 years ago, when the hatchback was badged for U.S. distribution as the Rabbit. Fast forward to 2020 and the Golf is well into its seventh-generation platform update and available […]
Anyone remember the world’s first SRV? That’s SRV as in Sport Recreation Vehicle, which is what Pontiac called its Aztek. “You’ve never seen anything like it before because there’s never been anything like it before,” Pontiac said as it unveiled this new creature for the 2001 model year. “Aztek has been uniquely designed to keep […]
The Justice Brothers were the first sponsors of a NASCAR team and obviously knew how to pick the winners. Their team won the first year of the NASCAR race series with Red Byron driving a 1939 Ford V8 Coupe tuned by Red Vogt and owned by Raymond Parks. In this video, Ed Justice Jr. […]
The Pick of the Day is a 1971 Datsun 510 BRE Tribute offered by a dealer in Christiansburg, Virginia. While not a race car and without safety equipment, the livery will make you feel like John Morton and celebrate his dominance of the Two-Five Challenge on your daily commute. Brock Racing Enterprises (BRE) and the […]
Ford is bringing back its heralded Mustang Mach I, and plans to do so this spring, which apparently means between now and the first day of summer, which this year is June 20. Note: This is the Mustang Mach I, not the Mach E, so it’s a high-performance sports coupe, not a utility vehicle, and […]

Apparently, police departments using Ford’s Police Interceptor Utility (aka Explorer) as their cruisers no longer have to worry about the Covid-19 virus living inside those vehicles. Working with several police departments and the Ohio State University, Ford has created a “new heated software enhancement” that uses the vehicles HVAC system to raise the temperature inside […]
Here’s a solid dose of nostalgia with a 20-minute compilation of car and truck commercials from the 1950s and ’60s. The ads include the wonders of Tri-5 Chevys, a “red-carpet” ride in an AMC Ambassador, big-block Edsels, beating the urethane nose of a Pontiac GTO with a crow bar, hauling a Chevy truck up the […]
While the MG TC went down in history as “the sports car America loved first,” the automaker also built a range of small 4-seaters that brought forward pre-war British styling and agility. The MG YA was a traditional sedan (or saloon, as the Brits call them) while the MG YT re-created the TC magic on […]
Needless to say, I was worried when I pulled into my driveway and the state trooper pulled in next to me, lights on but no siren. I thought I’d been careful driving home from the office in the Ferrari Testarossa, but chances are I had, indeed, exceeded the posted speed limit at one point or […]
