Vehicle Description
Sweet V8 power, a great color combo, a custom A/C interior, and
much more all come together on this 1972 Chevrolet El Camino to
deliver everything you want in a head-turning restored classic.
This was the final year of the third-gen El Camino. GM would be
closing the book on the now-iconic symbol of Chevy muscle. So this
one represents this legacy properly with a speedy look and some
custom touches. The silver paint is similar to colors offered in
'72, but it has a nice metallic finish that loves the sunshine. And
the darker sliver painted stripes are a great way to deliver the
iconic look in a unique way. So this one knows how to have
distinction in a field of El Caminos and Chevelles while still
respecting its history. A cowl induction hood, hood pins, and Rally
wheels complete this classily aggressive package. This one really
does have all the right details - from the mirror-like form-fitting
bumpers to the liner paint in the truck bed.
The all-black interior looks great against the silver exterior.
More of the Chevelle DNA is shared on the inside with the dash,
door panels, and split bench seat showing their comfortable
car-like roots. And with less than 3,600 miles on this one since
its restoration, it all has quite a nice feeling. But more than
just a nice classic, you can really tell this has been given some
terrific upgrades. For example, this one keeps you comfortable with
the addition of an air conditioner that blows cold with R134a. And
the gauges have a cool blue glow from the full digital package
upgrade. This goes nicely with the lighting on the AM/FM/CD stereo
that also features upgraded speakers and a USB input to plug in and
power modern music players.
Under the hood is a tidy setup. This is a later addition with a 350
cubic-inch crate V8. It has the right upgrades like an Edelbrock
four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock intake, and ceramic-coated
headers that add power while contributing to the rumble of the
X-pipe dual exhaust. This V8 also has all the best in supporting
components, including a serpentine belt system, Optima red top
battery, HEI ignition, and HD radiator w/separate trans cooler. As
you look at the undercarriage photos, you'll see more great
investments in this one. It includes suspension upgrades like
tubular A-arms up front, upgraded bushings, boxed rear trailing
arms, and sway bars front & rear. And with a three-speed automatic
transmission, power steering, and power brakes w/discs up front,
this is an outstanding total driving package.
There have been big investments in this El Camino, and the total
package proves it. So when you want a cool classic that's done
right, it's time to get this silver streak in your garage. Call
