So, its 1956 and Pontiac is like all the other "performance" manufacturers and the WW2 vets are thinking let's go fast. Pontiac develops a dual quad set up for NASCAR and runs off about 200 copies of them. Then the GM boys' figure lets run a production version and they come up with a 285 horsepower "Strato Streak" dual quad version for their lineup. This beauty is so equipped. Correct 523554 dual quad intake manifold. Correct 522010 heads. For 1956 we are talking 285 horsepower of dual quad fun. For those of you aficionado's out there it's a model 860.

Correctly finished in its original (per the trim tag) Nimbus Grey over Vista Blue this is quite a stunning color combination. The paint was done 20 plus years ago in single stage lacquer and presents itself like it was done 2 years ago, it remains ABSOLUTELY STUNNING. The quality of the work that was done years ago is exemplary. The chrome is stunning and the interior very nice. This one has won a lot of trophies for the previous owner (some of which we have and some of which we have pictures of) a that include Pontiac Nationals Award from 2008.

Three speed on the column, Armstrong steering and brakes, and a big engine. Just the way we like em. This beauty is equipped with the rare under seat heater/defroster option just in case your planning that road trip to Alaska this winter....
