This Pantera was commissioned by Ford Motor Company in 1971 and
built by De Tomaso in Modena, Italy. The car bears serial number
1791, making it one of the last Panteras produced that year. In
1998 the car underwent a complete restoration by Brian Graham of
Graham Tool and Pantera Parts in California. The body was media
blasted and any repairs were completed in steel, including the
Group 4 style fender flares. Both the paint and interior were
completed at that time. The restoration was inspired by the Group 4
race cars that De Tomaso built and campaigned in the 1970s. Power
comes from an original 351 Cleveland block which was completely
rebuilt by Clayton Racing Engines out of Carol Stream, Illinois in
2009. The engine has approximately 5,000 miles on the build and
incorporates numerous high quality components. Below is the
