Vehicle Description
1947 Ford Convertible
If you are in the market for a custom hot rod look no further! This
awesome 1947 Ford Convertible is all California custom and was once
owned by drag racing legend Kenny Bernstein. If that name is
familiar to you then you should know that on top of being a cool
custom, this hot rod performs! The all blacked out exterior creates
a very sleek look and the car looks perfect cruising down the road.
The paint was very well done and is accented with the perfect
amount of chrome and stainless. A split style original windshield
is in place up front and framed in nicely polished trim. With all
the glass cars on the market now it is also important to mention
that this classic is all steel with no evidence of rust, body,
damage or anything needing repair. The body sits on a boxed frame
that has been painted to match. The black convertible top has a 2
inch chop and the body has been modified with frenched headlights
and taillights. It has also been nosed and decked creating a very
smooth exterior. Custom door handles are in place and inset into
both doors. A flip down license plate is mounted in the rear giving
it a cool look at car shows while still allowing it to be legal on
the streets. The car rolls around on Billet Specialties wheels
which have a great shine. Wider tires are in place in rear and all
of the tires have plenty of life left in them.
Getting those tires spinning is the 454 Chevy motor that has been
bored 60 over to 468 ci. This is then fitted with a Street and
Performance injection system that is completely chromed out. Only
polished or chrome components were used and the smooth top valve
covers look really sharp. All braided lines are were used and a
custom panel was created to top the radiator creating a very clean
appearance. The engine runs extremely well and sends power back
through the Turbo 400 transmission into the Ford 9: rear end. It
was set up with 2:90 gears making it a great long distance highway
driver. A Mustang II style front end was added and the car has a
great ride.
The interior is done in all Black leather and is extremely
comfortable. Bucket seats are found up front and sit to each side
of a custom made center console. The dash is entirely custom and is
painted Black to match the exterior. Custom gauges are in place and
all working properly. An after market Pioneer stereo system was
added and delivers and awesome sound. Air conditioning vents were
added to the dash as well which makes for a much cleaner look than
you would get with an underdash style unit. The convertible top is
all power assisted and easily operated via a switch. The trunk of
the car is nicely done in Black as well and houses the hidden
batteries and 12 disc CD changer.
This professionally built custom can be in your garage for a deal
at $64,500.00!
