• Paint and Body

The Commodore has a two-tone finish in garnet over crimson that is elegant in its subtleness and virtually flawless in its execution.

All of the external chrome looks as nice as it did back in 1948: perfect!

• Interior

The interior was completely reupholstered and it looks like new, including the headliner. The quality and luxury of the car’s interior made it a worthy competitor of the Cadillacs and Packards.

New rugs were installed to match the rest of the interior.

Each of the door panels look as new.

The dash and the window garnish mouldings were restored and look as they did when the car was in the Hudson showroom in 1948.

• Engine

The engine is the 261 cid straight six that purrs to life with the press of the starter button.  The detailed engine and its peripherals rest in a fully detailed engine bay that reflect the quality of what these cars looked like in the showroom.

• Transmission

The car starts smoothly when the clutch is engaged and continues its smooth operation through the shifting of the three forward gears.  This Commodore has overdrive as well.

• Wheels and Tires

Wide whitewall tires and chrome hubcaps with the famous Hudson motif adorn all 4 wheels, with fender skirts to add to the swept-back elegance.
