1941 Ford Super Deluxe Convertible SURVIVOR CAR...... Runs GREAT!!! 3 on the tree manual transmission. This is a special car! Purchased in 1941 in Pennsylvania by an Air Force cadet! (Documented). Her history has taken her from Pennsylvania to Arizona, New Mexico and then to Colorado and now back to East Coast. (Some documents). For those with serious interest I can walk you through what I have regarding the history and how I came to be her care taker. Some key points. She was professionally appraised at $36,000 three years ago. (Documented) The 76,700 miles are believed original. Since then we have invested $12,000 in appropriate historic maintenance and care taking. This work was done by one of the foremost car experts in the world! I will share his contact information only with a serious buyer and he can give you his opinion on the car. We will provide the complete list of maintenance work completed. Some examples: The original 6 Volt electrical system was re-set with new, period correct wiring. Yup, still 6 volts! Her King Pins, brakes, rear suspension, carburetor, and fuel systems serviced and cleaned. Gas tank removed, cleaned and rolled with BBs. (Documented) We have “maintained” the nice protective layer of oil and patina on the engine and underbody to factiliate the ongoing protection of the frame from any rust or corrosion. The frame and body show no rust! This car has not been “restored or significantly modified”, simply “corrected” to ensure safe and reliable running. We know she was repainted sometime in the 70s and her top was replaced. Believe it or not, this car had a power roof. The systems running that were removed at some point so the roof is not currently power operated. It is manually operated. Her interior was redone sometime in the 70s with period correct red vinyl. It's likely that her orginal seat covers were cloth. However, the interior looks straight out of 1941! I want to be clear... this car is a survivor! She has great marks of aging and wear but she is not a restored or concours car. More pics available on request.
