1937 Ford Deluxe Phaeton—Fully Restored AND PRICE JUST REDUCED!
The open Fords of the late ‘30s were the grandest of the affordable American motor cars, and this 4-door Phaeton (convertible) winds back the clock to that era. 1937 was a “break-out” year for Ford introducing a redesigned line-up to regain the lead in the U.S. market. This fully-restored Ford Deluxe Phaeton is awaiting a new owner that will be able to enjoy it now at car shows, club events or cruising with the family.
Great Car with Excellent Finishes
This 1937 V-8 5-passenger Ford Deluxe Phaeton has been fully restored including:
Excellent from Top to Bottom
This Phaeton has a near show-quality exterior finish in light gray that is absolutely beautiful. There is a red pinstripe accent on the body which matches the red on the steel wheels. In combination with a saddle brown interior this car is a standout.
A new top was installed to complete the package and glass wind-wings deflect the wind from the passenger compartment for additional comfort.
The restored underside of the car looks fresh and clean.
The interior was completely reupholstered in saddle brown vinyl and with the exception of some wear on a couple of the upholstery buttons it looks extremely nice.
The dash is nicely re-grained to match the interior color and the floor mats are like-new. The “banjo-styled” steering wheel completes the interior nicely.
The headliner is clean and fresh-looking, making a top-up drive pleasurable,
The V-8 flathead engine is nestled in a detailed bay. A press of the starter button results in a motor that purrs to life ready to put its 85 hp to work for the driver. The motor runs so smoothly and quietly that you can barely hear it at idle.
The car starts smoothly when the clutch is engaged and continues its smooth operation through the shifting of the gears.
Wide-whitewall tires have been installed on the car’s refinished red steel wheels, complete with chrome “beauty rings.” Chrome hubcaps with the famous Ford V8 motif adorn all 4 wheels.
An Exceptional Opportunity
There is one phrase that can best describe this 1937 Ford: Classic Elegance! These are relatively rare cars in any condition because of the limited number produced—fewer than 3800 Phaetons were made during the 1937 model year and only a fraction of those are still held by collectors. Finding one with this level of quality restoration is nearly impossible. This car will be equally at home on the show field or taking the kids out for ice cream. If you’ve always wanted a late 30’s Ford 4-door convertible, this is the one to buy; and if you’ve never experienced the elegance of a Ford Phaeton first-hand, this is the one to see!
