Vehicle Description
Ask any sports car enthusiast what the most sought after British
roadster is today and you're bound to hear someone bring up the
Triumph TR6... And with good reason! This sought after roadster
carries with it a powerful inline six motor and fully independent
suspension, so it's the perfect mix of vintage, nimble, and fun.
Take for instance this '713 Triumph TR6 that combines a killer
color combination with plenty of originality... All for under
$20,000! Never having seen a full restoration, this two-owner car
is the one to have.
This is a two-owner car that has been in possession of the second
owner since around 1976. The odometer reads 57,509, which is
reported by the owner to be correct. With a classic look provided
by many original parts, this is British sports car distilled to its
purest form. Not fully restored, but beautifully maintained and
repaired as needed, the result is a bright red roadster with great
lines and a ton of charisma. There's a minimal amount of bright
work to keep these cars uncluttered, which just makes the bright
pieces elements stand out even more. The paint appears to be an
older respray, but is of good overall quality despite showing signs
of age. It shows extremely well, and the interior is the perfect
pair to the exterior red.
The interior is another hallmark of the great British roadster.
With a real wood dashboard full of original Smiths gauges, it
definitely has a hand-crafted European feel. The bucket seats,
grippy steering wheel, and perfectly-placed gearstick combine to
give you the ideal driving feeling. Furthermore, everything appears
to be original which gives this car that classic 1970s British
feel...something full restored cars often struggle to achieve.
What separates this from other TR6s currently on the market is the
low number of owners, and the length of ownership by the current
owner. This car has been driven and maintained while the mileage
has been kept down over the years. The condition of the car, which
is remarkably solid, speaks to the low mileage and the care it has
received over the years. Whether you're looking for an affordable
original car to cruise on nice days, or the perfect start to a
next-level restoration, this little TR6 is a great candidate!
