800 horsepower 1941 Cadillac, that's something you don't see
everyday....... or ever! Over $90,000 spent and most of that was
drivetrain and chassis. A pile of receipts and specs are included.
The stock 1941 Cadillac body was pulled from the original frame and
set on this high end custom chassis. Only 2,360 miles since
finished.
EXTERIOR: It looks bone stock except the wheels. I think the 41
Cadillac is one of the most handsome cars of that era. It has
massive amounts of chrome, big heavy chrome. It all sparkles, even
the stainless trim. Unique features include lifting the flying lady
hood ornament to open the hood, gas filler is under the taillight
and this one has optional visor over the windshield. The body is
clean and straight. Close any door with 2 fingers. The paint looks
like a black mirror. The glass is all new. The aluminum wheels are
custom made Budnicks, extra big in back. Has Hoosier 29x15.50 R-16
Pro Street tires in back, BFGs in front.
INTERIOR: Inside the car is restored to original 1941 specs with
some tasteful upgrades. The painted wood grain trim is in beautiful
shape. There's plenty of chrome inside and it all sparkles. The
seats, door panels and headliner were all reupholstered correctly
in the original gray cloth. Carpets and floor mats were made with
sewn edges. Dynamat was used under the carpet for sound deadener. A
brand new set of Classic gauges were neatly installed, they look
like they belong there. It includes a tachometer and a clock. New
EZ wiring. Has new Ididit steering column with original wheel.
Seatbelts with shoulder belts were installed front and back. A
B&M pistol grip, quarter stick shifter is mounted on a custom
base.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: This is one of the coolest looking motor
compartments I've seen. Firewall is smooth, the engine bay is all
gloss black. The centerpiece is the motor, fully decorated in
polished parts. It's a GM 572-620 hp crate motor that's been
upgraded to almost 800 hp. Really cool Hilborn fuel injection
system with K&N filters sit on top. The aluminum heads have
been smoothed out and polished. It has MSD ignition system, custom
made fat stainless headers and a unique cooling system. It has an
external electric water pump with stainless braided heater hoses
and stainless pipes to the radiator. There's a polished overflow
bottle and a Vintage Air electric fan. It has chrome alternator,
brake booster and master, polished steering linkage.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: It was boxed upholstered and carpeted to match
the inside, very classy.
UNDERSIDE: The underside should be the first category for this car.
It's more then a little impressive. Has an Art Morrison boxed frame
designed for this car. Up front it has tubular control arms with
coil over gas shocks, sway bar and rack & pinion steering. Rear
suspension is a 4 bar with coil over gas shocks. Bottom of the
motor has chrome pan and high torque starter. The blueprinted TCI
street and strip Turbo 400 auto trans with performance upgrades and
heavy duty parts cost $5,798. Custom driveshaft connects to the
4.11 posi. The rear end is a narrowed Strange 9 inch with pro
modular center, stainless axles and more. In back has a set of Pro
Street Hoosier tires- 29x15.50R-16. An Aeromotive fuel delivery
system and stainless tank supply fuel to the Hilborn injection.
Wilwood brake system with discs at all 4 corners, braided hoses and
new lines. The polished 3 inch exhaust goes right through the
specially designed frame so it doesn't hang down below the car. It
has Flowmaster mufflers and electric dumps. It's so cool hitting
the switch and hearing that 572 without mufflers. Everything is
new, everything is painted or polished. Floors are spotless.
This is unique, in a good way. A classic 41 Cadillac made into a
pro street is not something you will find anywhere. The work was
all done with high quality parts and labor. Very tastefully done
too. I think it would be blast to drive. I want to pull into a
cruise night an open those dumps!
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for
virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant
amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my
professional impression of the vehicle.
Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure
