“THE BROWN HORNET” - 1937 FORD ROADSTER
Commissioned by Pittsburg Paint in 2007 to represent their product in the Detroit Autorama, the Brown Hornet is a 1937 Ford Roadster and designed as a showpiece for what can be done with the very best of all products used. Pro Rides built the car in 2007 at a cost in excess of $120,000 US and the result was a vehicle that won multiple awards including being in the Goodguys Fab 5 and the PPG show car for two National Street Rod Association events.
Finished in a beautiful Sedona Bronze & Inca Gold colour, it has hand painted pin stripes that travel the length of the car. The engine is finished with Billet chrome and a mirrored firewall giving it a unique look when the hood is lifted. The custom Billet wheels measure 18” in the front and 20” for the rear and are in like new condition. The leather interior is completely custom and the car has only been driven approximately 3650 miles since built in 2007. All the mechanical parts used were new with minor contemporary additions done to improve its drivability.
