Chevrolet has been pumping out Corvettes for 66 years, building about 1.5 million of them since 1953. That makes the 'Vette one of the most popular sports cars of all time. First- and second-generation Corvettes were one of the first true collectible cars of the modern era, and collecting Corvettes remains a global phenomenon. More than just another two-seat sports car, the Vette is an American icon. There's a good reason it's often referred to as America's sports car.

For Consignment we offer a 1986 version of the America's sports car. An upgraded option engine in the 350 V8, and a very nicely preserved White exterior, performance handling, and an improved fuel injection system are just a few of the upgrades included for this year.

Exterior
All clean bright White painted fiberglass in good condition. Some dulling in the paint and some areas of overspray, however mostly unremarkable, are noted. Dual electric controlled sport mirrors, and a solid white roof panel is seen. Polished aluminum 5 spoke wheels wheels wrapped in good radials are bolted on all 4 corners.

Interior
Saddle Brown leather buckets grace the inside of this Vette. A digital driver information system is seen on the square design dash, as well as the 4-speed automatic transmission shifter in the console. Power windows, and power steering and a key fob remote access button will get you into the rear storage area that has enough room to take the bags for a long trip. Carpeting appears in good condition, and so do door panels.

Drivetrain
A 350ci V8 with electronic fuel injection can be viewed within an original engine bay with the flip of the hood. All clean under here with no corrosion. Bolted on back is the 4-speed automatic transmission. Keeping everything cool is an all-electric fan cooling system. This power plant runs smoothly and has plenty of get up and go.

Undercarriage
Reasonably clean and rust free. A performance handling package has been added. Suspension includes a posi trac rear, and fiberglass mono leaf spring is seen on the front and rear.

Overall a clean Corvette that the consigner has enjoyed for some time. An iconic exterior and interior that remains true to the 'Vette legacy of America's Sports Car.
