Vehicle Description
Looking for a sturdy workhorse that's spacious enough to
accommodate family and friends, yet also agile and surefooted
enough to veer off the asphalt onto more challenging territory when
the spirit moves you? Check out this 1990 Chevrolet Suburban. Its
exterior has been thoroughly refreshed and it's packing an eager
engine along with interior room galore.
This substantial Chevy now wears an eye-catching two tone color
scheme, with a dark blue backdrop separated by broad swaths of
silver across its sides, and a pair of red pinstripes added to mark
the transition. This is a sharp ride - its substantial, lengthy
form appears fresh and vibrant, as the paint is in great condition,
with nary a blemish in sight and a smooth, even texture. A lap
around will reveal exterior fittings that are in consistently good
shape - the front end sports a blackened rectangular grille with a
pair of dual headlights and a crisp Chevy bowtie at its center, the
side trim is unblemished and sits flush and level as the fenders
transition to the doors and then to the rear quarter panels. Spin
around to the back and you'll see that a pair of ambulance style
doors, as opposed to the more customary tailgate, open for access
to the rear storage area - a very cool, distinctive feature.
Climb inside and your first impression will almost certainly be
just how well-preserved your surroundings are. The dark blue
interior would be considered to be in clean shape for a vehicle
debuting just after the millennium, let alone a trusty workhorse
like this that rolled out ten years before that.
Everything inside the doors remains in its stock configuration,
with still-fresh cloth covers over the front buckets and rear bench
seat - and the carpet below, though a touch loose in places,
showing no distracting stains or pronounced wear. All four of the
side doors wear panels that are in great shape, with all of their
hardware intact and fresh. Just in front of the factory steering
wheel, the dash area is yet another strong feature, with its
instrument panel wearing an unusually fresh burlwood accent
encircling a collection of gauges that are all in working order.
The factory air conditioning on this Suburban is in top form -
considering the size of the cabin, there's a lot of air to cool and
it's capable of bringing the temperatures down with no delay.
This Suburban's running condition is reassuringly strong - there
will be no issues entrusting this king size SUV with frequent
driving duties. It's powered by a 350 cubic inch V8 that stands by
in the center of a clean engine compartment, starting quickly and
pulling with enthusiasm as it teams with a 3-speed automatic
transmission to make for a rock solid drivetrain. When the footing
gets hard to come by, four-wheel drive agility sits within easy
reach on the transmission tunnel and feature good working order.
Smooth power steering makes this sizable vehicle surprisingly easy
to navigate while power brakes - featuring discs up front - bring
low effort, fade resistant stops. This classic Chevy patrols the
asphalt on a set of crisp-looking stock 15" wheels wrapped with BF
Goodrich All-Terrain T/A tires. Despite the temptation this rugged
ride presents for enthusiastic driving over less forgiving
conditions, its underside is in very solid condition.
A hard to find blend of vintage appeal, ample room and a road ready
running condition make this Chevrolet Suburban a welcome
opportunity. Call today!
