1969 was the absolute pinnacle year for performance muscle
including the Ford Mustang with no fewer than six factory
performance Mustangs being offered for that year. The Mach 1
started with a V8 Sportroof body style previously known as the
Fastback, it had visual as well as performance enhancing itmes such
as matte black hood treatment, hood pin, suspension and chrome
exhaust tips. This particular Mach 1 is the coveted "R" Code
example with the 428 SCJ with ram air and the 4:30 Detroit locker
trac lok rear end. It also came with power front disc brakes, AM
radio and tinted glass as indicated on the Marti report that is
also comes with the vehicle. This car was originally built on
1/21/1969 in Silver Jade over white vinyl. It has had a recent
complete restoration and shows like new inside and out. The SCJ
engine fires up at the twist of the key and goes down the road
exactly as it should. This car was put back together correctly and
is ready for show or go.
