Vehicle Description
1971 Plymouth Road Runner For Sale - Complete Rotisserie
Restoration, 4 Speed Pistol Grip LMC is very proud to offer for
sale this 1971 Plymouth Road Runner The year 1971 brought
significant change to the American muscle car, with a number of
model redesigns appearing. One was the release of the 2-door
G-series Chrysler B-bodies, including the Charger/Super Bee and
GTX/Road Runner muscle cars. At the time, few foresaw how close to
the end of this era the Big Three manufacturers were. In fact, the
1971 model run was also the end of the high-performance equipment
as originally optioned on this beautiful 340ciRoad Runner. This
body was called the 'fuselage' style and featured much smoother,
more dramatic edges than previous renderings of the classic
Plymouth. This was the direct result of ongoing aerodynamic testing
that Chrysler had been involved in, and it proved apt on the NASCAR
circuit, where this design took Richard Petty to 21 event crowns
and the first-ever Winston Cup title that season. This beautiful
Roadrunner is finished in its factory "B2" Glacial Blue exterior
complemented very nicely with the rare white interior. Powered by a
numbers matching 340 engine backed by the number matching 4 speed
pistol grip transmission. This Mopar is well equipped with many
options some of which include, power brakes, power steering, rally
dash with factory tachometer, performance hood treatment, white
transverse stripes, AM Radio with cassette, rally wheels with
polyglass tires, optional exhaust tips, hood pins and of course the
prerequisite "Beep Beep" horn. This collectible Roadrunner has
benefited from a very nice rotisserie restoration with few miles
since completion. It comes documented with a Broadcast sheet,
pictures of the prior to restoration as well as picture during the
process. A great example of Mopar muscle that would make a great
addition to anyone's collection. Additional Details: 1971 PLYMOUTH
