DeLong’s Pit Bar-b-que was an iconic fixture in the city of Ann Arbor, MI from 1963 to 2005 when Robert, aka “Long” or “Mr. DeLong” and is wife, opened a small take-out restaurant on the side of a gas station. By the following year, DeLong’s bought out the gas station owner and expanded to a full fledge thriving establishment. With serving the community for 38 years, DeLong’s had become famous for their bar-b-que sauce - which was handcrafted by his wife; signature trout sandwiches and rib dinners. DeLong’s had become so popular that travelling entertainers and musicians were known to drop in. Robert was an avid auto enthusiast. He was known to acquire a new vehicle every year before settling on his pride and joy, the 1978 Cadillac Seville Grandeur Opera Coupe. This vehicle is in its original unrestored condition; garage kept and driven only under the most favorable sun shining days.
