Tank sheet, Owner Protection Plan with POP (showing original owner and dealer ink stamp, etc) two NCRS Top Flights in 2008 (One Regional, one Chapter), 10 options, original set of wheels with reproduction bias ply white stripes for judging and a set of date coded wheels on redline radials for driving. Hennessey Performance Engineering wasted no time getting to work on the mid-engine 2020 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. The Texas tuner added a nitrous oxide system to the recently released sports car, then took it out for a top-speed run and achieved a claimed 205.1 mph. That speed was reached at the Continental Tire Proving Ground in […]
The 2020 Corvette, the first mid-engine model in the marque’s 67-year history, has had a difficult start. First, its release was pushed back due to reported development delays regarding its aluminum spaceframe and electrical architecture. Then, production was delayed at least two months due to a strike by the United Auto Workers. Now, the coronavirus has […]
With the Indianapolis 500 postponed until August because of COVID-19, instead of happening later this month, the Pick of the Day celebrates one of the 15 times that Corvette has served as the official pace car. The 1998 Chevrolet Corvette Indianapolis Pace Car convertible is one of the limited-edition factory replicas of the Indy 500 […]
The 2014 C7 Chevrolet Corvette won the Fiberglass Follies by a front clip over pre-race favorite, the 1990 ZR1. The 1978 Indianapolis 500 pace car, the first Corvette to pace at the famed race, finished third. The race was a figment of the imagination designed to fill a void in the real horse racing scheduled […]

HPE will offer up to 1,200 horsepower for the new mid-engine Corvette with a specially designed twin-turbo system that will include a specially built LT2 V8 engine with upgraded engine internals including forged aluminum pistons (10.0:1 compression ratio) and forged steel connecting […]
Chevrolet produced only 300 examples of its Corvette sports car for the 1953 model year, and according to the dealer in Phoenix advertising the Pick of the Day on ClassicCars.com, this one, the 87th produced, “is one of the most important extant.” And thus the $249,800 asking price for this 1953 Chevrolet Corvette. According to […]
As if a 1967 Chevrolet Corvette isn’t racy enough, the Pick of the Day boosts it up a notch with a “Grand Sport” replica body kit that emulates the race cars that GM sponsored briefly in the 1960s, as originally envisioned by the legendary Corvette guru Zora Arkus Duntov. This wild-looking roadster is a “street […]
The much-anticipated and now rolling-off-the-assembly-line mid-engine C8 edition of the Chevrolet Corvette is one of those cars considered to be an instant classic. But with the engine now located behind rather than in front of the driver, it should be a good time for even long-time Corvette owners to go back to school. Driving school, […]
Pete Vicari grew up in a family owned construction and real-estate development business in Harvey, Louisiana, just south of New Orleans. But he also grew up with a love of Detroit muscle cars and especially Chevrolet Corvettes. His passion for such muscular machines led to the founding 25 years ago of the Vicari Auction Company, […]
