Going to the engine compartment, you’ll find a highly detailed 302 engine backed by a FIVE SPEED Transmission (M5), electronic ignition with new Silicone spark plug wires, new belts, new water pump, new 12V Alternator, new valve covers, new air cleaner, and freshly serviced radiator. The chrome power brake conversion shows well and really is a nice addition for driving ease. The rest is very apparent in the pictures.
A newly rebuilt M5 Five speed transmission was installed which gives the truck a very comfortable cruise at 65 mph and just a pleasure to drive.
You will notice that the truck has been lowered to a very appealing height. This has been accomplished by a dropped I beam lowering kit. Newly cut and professionally balanced drive shaft. No backyard cutting but a quality kit that handles very nice on the road. If you look at the pictures you will see a meticulously maintained undercarriage. All the details were checked to make sure nothing was missed. There is no rust here with only some hints of minor rust and were professionally repaired.
The bed was also redone with a composite, wood like planking that was fitted perfectly. This bed will not rot and has very low maintenance.
The interior was completely redone and features new bucket seats, carpeting and a completely redone instrument cluster. A new tach as well as a quad AutoMeter gauge was installed covering fuel level, oil pressure, water temperature and battery charging condition. This is a high end quality gauge that fits perfectly in the dash and compliments the evenly balanced tach position. The aluminum shifter looks great and is height adjustable. A new chrome steering column was installed with automatic cancelling turn signals, four way flashers and tilt wheel. A new steering wheel was also installed. The window mouldings and anti rattle strips were replaced.
The truck is a blast to drive “ drive anywhere”. Starts right up, idles great, accelerates well and tracks straight. If you are looking for a really cool restomod at an affordable price this is the truck for you.
