This clean Chevy is a head-turning stunner that mixes hot Vortec
power with a tough 4L80E 4-speed and choice aesthetics. And if
you're ready to feel the Spring breeze behind the wheel of a
storied Detroit legend, it's a chance to turn your lust worthy
dreams into fantastic reality!
CLASSIC GOOD LOOKS
The beneficiary of a detailed, ground-up restoration, this slick
3100 wraps custom white 2-stage around a desirable 5-window body
that's both worldly and classic. At the front of the truck, a
polished grille hangs clear parking lamps between a shaved hood,
halo headlights and a polished bumper. Behind that hood, a split,
stainless-trimmed windshield leads a smoked greenhouse, which rolls
1-piece side glass behind polished RainGear wipers and color-keyed
hot rod mirrors. Under those mirrors, a "CHEVROLET LS2" branded
profile centers polished door handles above stainless-trimmed
running boards. Behind those handles, a chainless, "CHEVROLET"
branded tailgate protects a massaged bed that's been stained,
coated in polyurethane and trimmed in stainless. And at the bottom
of that bed, polished LED taillights illuminate a custom roll pan
and a second polished bumper.
MODERN GM POWER
Lift the rolled hood and you'll find a potent, 6.0 liter Vortec
small block that twists hearty 11 to 1 compression into 427
dyno-proven horsepower and 365 lb./ft. of tire-splitting torque. Up
top, a polished air cleaner jams wind through a Holley Hi-Ram
intake, which shades Holley EFI fuel rails that are monitored by a
liquid-filled Aeromotive pressure gauge. Those rails push fuel
through lightweight LS3 heads, which tilt polished Holley valve
covers under short MSD plug wires. Up front, there's a polished
radiator that's fitted with a polished expansion tank and a massive
puller fan. To the left, a polished brake booster feeds a quartet
of discs. Details are well thought, with items like Current
Performance Wiring and a Crane cam complementing a professional
tune by Garner, North Carolina's RPM Motorsports. And,
aesthetically, the cast iron mill, color-matched to the truck's
sweet interior, looks great inside a smooth and spotless engine
bay.
UPGRADES GALORE
Take a gander under this slick 3100 and you'll find a modified
Chevy S-10 chassis that mixes new age technology with old school
durability. At the center of those bones, a cooled 4L80E 4-speed
twists a custom driveshaft that's mated to a 9-inch Ford axle. That
drivetrain rides a heavily upgraded suspension, which follows trick
drop spindles with a triangulated 4-bar rear-clip that's finished
with Eibach springs and QA-1 shocks. Turns come courtesy of modern
power steering. Stopping is a cinch thanks to power-assisted
Wilwood calipers, which clamp four and six pistons around 12-inch
drilled and slotted rotors. Coated Schoenfeld headers swirl spent
gases through an X-shaped crossover and brash turbo mufflers. And
torque melts the pavement thanks to chromed Ridler blades, which
spin 225/50ZR18 BF Goodrich g-Force Comp-2s in front of 255/45ZR20
BF Goodrich g-Force Sport Comp-2s.
A NICE PLACE TO BE
Between the doors, you'll find custom Terracotta leather that was
professionally installed by Rustburg, Virginia's Custom Interiors
by Stitch. 2001 Buick LeSabre buckets look and feel fantastic. In
front of those seats, a custom dash hangs stylish Dakota Digital
VHX telemetry next to modern JVC audio and Old Air Products climate
control. That Bluetooth-capable CD player is, along with modern
power windows, charged through 21-circuit EZ Wiring electronics.
And the driver spins a polished and half-wrapped steering wheel
around a polished, tilting column.
A tough-looking street rod that wraps a hot, modern drivetrain in
crisp, timeless aesthetics? What more could you ask for? Call,
