This is a 1952 Chevrolet 2-Dr Sedan Fleetline Deluxe. This car was purchased by my grandfather in Febuary 1952. It was his dream to pay cash for a car and drive it off the showroom floor, this he did in this car in 1952. He died in May of 1952 having driven his new car only 500 miles. My grandmother drove this car for 12 years when she remarried and bought a new car. In 1972 she gave this car to my father who was a mechanic and she knew he would take good care of it. My brother and sisters and I all drove it to High School. I was the last child to have this car and worked on it with my dad so it was given to me as he knew I would take care of it. This car has been parked inside for the last 42 years. 35 years ago we had it repainted it was not painted the right color from the plate on the firewall, which made my dad very mad. This car is all original from the interior to the glass to the spare tire and Jack and original owners manual. It has the original 6 cylinder engine 3 speed transmission, with 79,871 miles and is still 6 volt. The Turn Signals and Brake Lights Work even the Dome Light Works. The Horn Works and the doors shut tight very easily. This car is fully functional. I have taught all my children how to drive in this car so they would always remember the car they first drove was a 1952 Chevrolet with no power steering or power brakes and was a 3 speed on the column shifter! It is an amazing car with a great history. It is a great candidate and ready for someone to either restore it to original condition or modify it to their own desires either way it will live on to its glory once again!
