nut-and-bolt restoration, this slick F1 prowls the boulevard as a
highly appealing muscle car that's clean, mean and ready to roar!
That meticulous rebirth began with a sturdy profile that was decked
in vivid LeMans Blue 2-stage, dressed in attractive Super Sport
trim and dashed with traditional Super Sport stripes. That pigment
looks especially captivating wrapped around aggressive Rally Sport
styling that includes a dapper grille, dual spoilers, ornate
quarter louvers and special lighting. And today, this Chevy rolls
as a solid and straightforward classic that continues to age
exceptionally well!
Pop the car's Cowl Induction Hood and you'll find 396 cubic inches
of date-correct big block that was carefully rebuilt during the
recent restoration. Behind that Chevy Orange mill, a proven Muncie
M20 4-speed twists torque to a requisite 12-bolt axle. That
drivetrain rides a fully rebuilt suspension, which centers lucid
power steering between power front disc and rear drum brakes.
Exhaust rolls from restored manifolds in to large-diameter pipes,
which float an H-shaped crossover in front of a proper transverse
muffler. And at the corners of the chassis, stainless-trimmed Rally
Wheels spin 215/70R15 BF Goodrich Radial T/As.
Open this F1's doors and you'll find a stylish Black Houndstooth
interior that's been lovingly restored. At the center of the car, a
vinyl-trimmed bench complements Deluxe bucket seats. In front of
those thrones, a wood-trimmed dash hangs fully rebuilt telemetry
next to an old school Delco radio. At the base of that dash,
monochromatic mats surf monochromatic carpet, which frames a
wood-trimmed console that's finished with a polished Hurst shifter
and 4-pack accessory gauges. All that kit is housed between Deluxe
door panels. And turns get transmitted through a standard Super
Sport steering wheel.
