This 1965 MG MGB race car is powered by a 1.8-liter inline-four
equipped with dual SU-type HS4 carburetors and mated to a
close-ratio 4-speed manual gearbox from Huffaker Engineering. This
MGB racer is finished in green over a race-prepped interior fitted
with a Kirkey racing seat, an AMB transponder, and a custom
dashboard featuring VDO instrumentation. The second owner bought
the car in 1983 and converted it into a race car for use in SCCA
and other events. The current owner acquired the car in 2005 and
reportedly rebuilt the engine and installed the gearbox, and
subsequently campaigned the car in Group EP with VARA and HSR-West
through 2008. This MGB race car is now offered by the selling
dealer on behalf of his brother with a build sheet, VARA log book,
