Powered by a 351e V6 engine, this Dodge truck sends all 220
horsepower to the wheels through a 4-speed manual transmission. A
V6 in one of these classic trucks is extremely rare as they often
had inline-6 or V8 engines.
The example offered here has been repainted in a turquoise color
and shows well despite a few imperfections. The exterior paint is
complemented by chrome trim and bumpers which are in good
condition. In the bed, you will find what is believed to be the
original wood planks. The white wheels with chrome wheel covers are
wrapped in Firestone whitewall tires.
Complementing the exterior is a gold-painted dashboard and steering
wheel that both show extremely well. A black vinyl bench seat
provides a comfortable ride in this classic truck.
Despite having no power steering, this truck is still a dream to
drive. With front independent suspension the Dodge 1000 handles
more like a car than a massive truck. The frame and underside of
the truck are clean and very solid. The engine starts right up
without any issues and powers the truck down the road with ease.
The transmission goes through the gears smoothly and makes driving
