Why This Car Is Special
The 1978 Jeep CJ we have here at Skyway Classics is a great
customized version of am All American iconic vehicle.
Mechanical
This CJ has been completely restored and modified but still retains
the factory 304 V8 engine
The original 304 has been completely rebuilt, backed by the
original 4 speed manual transmission, and has 4WD, all in a clean
and detailed engine compartment. All bushings, suspension
components, steering components, and brakes have been replaced.
Quick release sway bar end links have been installed in case you
want to do a little climbing. The stock exhaust manifolds have been
replaced with full length coated headers that run to a Magnaflow
muffler.
Interior
The interior has twin stock style black vinyl bucket seats and
matching rear seat with a chrome tilt column and wood sport
steering wheel. It has chrome dash panels, a chrome grab bar above
the glovebox, a complete new wiring harness, all gauges and lights
work, and a phone charger and USB chargers. The entire inside of
the tub has been coated in tan bedliner for durability and rust
prevention.
Exterior
This is an all metal body and not a fiberglass body kit as almost
every nut and bolt on this Jeep has been restored, rebuilt or
replaced in the last few years.
Painted in a stunning yellow paint, chrome side bars, Chrome grill,
chrome tube front and rear bumpers, Ultra aluminum alloy wheels
with BF Goodrich All Terrain tires, chrome exhaust tip, s, and
chrome hinges. All lighting has been converted to LED including
projector headlights that look great and keep you safer than the
stock lights of the 70s would. For safety it also has a 4-point
black roll bar.
