Vehicle Description
1932 Ford Victoria
The Victoria model is possibly the most recognizable of all the
1932 line of Ford automobiles designed by Edsel Ford. The Victoria
was not really a coupe and not really a sedan but somewhere in
between. The Victoria became one of the prized 1932 Fords in years
to come as it was, and is, extremely popular with "hot rodders" and
"street rodders". Unfortunately, they were also extremely popular
when converted to oval track race cars, jalopys and modifieds,
throughout the 1950s and 1960s and many of these cars were
destroyed in competition.
Offering an all steel California car with beautiful fit and finish.
Razor straight gaps, steel panels, perfect fenders and running
boards, and a custom leather interior. All very nicely done,
buttoned up, and ready to go and show.
Exterior
Covered with a pristine coating of Bronze Metallic, surrounded by
awesome near perfect chrome, and brite-work this car is a work of
art. Even the rear glass has been etched with some framing
flourishes. Pin striping in light tan, snakes its way around the
roofline where it meets the body, and extends through the belt line
of the doors. Beautiful big chromed headlights flank a vertical rod
center grille, and hover above a pristine chromed curved bumper.
Bringing up the rear is a folding trunk/ extra cargo holder which
is framed by 2 original style taillamps and another pristine curved
chromed bumper. Wonderful contrasting powder coated wire wheels in
cream are wrapped with wide tires.
Interior
Grabbing on to the perfectly preserved curved door handles and
flipping open the door, we are met with 2 tone Coffee tuck and roll
with buttons-leather heaven. All over the door panels, and in the
two-tone seats, which are unspoiled buckets in front, and a rear
bench in the same motif. This same Coffee Leather is utilized on
the headliner, pillar covers, and window surrounds. An upper wood
console has been added to house a digital clock/tachometer,
AM/FM/Cassette and a few toggles with lights. Fronting all this
leather is an exterior matching dash with a swirl pattern oval
aluminum gauge cluster. Vintage Air and Heat have been installed,
as has an Ididit tilt column, power steering and power brakes.
Drivetrain
With one of the more interesting and nice engine bays you will see,
a Chevy (WHAT??!) 350ci V8 4-barrel, with plenty of added chromed
bling, and a 700R4 automatic transmission bolted on back is
noted.
Undercarriage
A superior blending of black frame and suspension, Bronze Metallic
Metal, and a shiny stainless exhaust this underside is stunning to
say the least. A 9" Ford 3:55 posi rear with parallel leaf springs,
and a dropped front axle with post springs, this car will stay
glued to any curve a road could throw at it.
I think the consigner sums it up the best as he states "This is a
very solid, nice riding and handling Vicky, which needs
nothing"...enough said.
