This 1973 BMW 3.0CS was purchased new at Zipper BMW in Beverly
Hills on February 15, 1973 and has resided in Southern California
ever since. Finished in Polaris Silver over a navy blue leather
interior, the car is powered by its numbers-matching 3.0-liter M30
inline-six and was equipped from the factory with a sunroof and air
conditioning. A Getrag 265 5-speed manual gearbox has been added
along with an upgraded A/C compressor and 38mm EMPI carburetors.
The seller first purchased the car in 1990 from the original owner
and commissioned a windows-out repaint in the 1990s, which was also
when the gearbox swap was completed. The seller then sold the car
in 2012, but bought it back earlier this year. A valve adjustment
and fluid changes were recently performed in preparation for sale,
and the dash was also refurbished as outlined below. In June 2019,
the car earned 1st place in its class at the Huntington Beach
Concours d'Elegance. This E9 is now offered with factory manuals,
service records back to the 1970s, and a clean California title in
the seller's name. This listing is live now, and only for 7 days,
