Vehicle Description
Thoroughly revitalized both inside and out, this 1984 Jeep CJ7
Renegade is a great looking vintage terrain conqueror with a very
solid driving condition to match. There's also a comfortable
interior with some nice upgrades waiting just beyond the doors, so
this ride is really firing on all proverbial cylinders.
Sitting at an optimum ride height to maximize both wheel clearance
and curb appeal via a 4.5" Rubicon Express lift kit, this is a
standout classic Jeep. It wears sharp burgundy paint that carries a
nice shine and a consistently smooth texture, ornamented by a full
array of colorful stripes and Renegade decals. All the outward
signs of rugged road-readiness are on board here - the entire
exterior looks fresh and well aligned and you'll find Smitty Built
bumpers at both ends, with a Promaxx 8000lb winch at the front to
extricate yourself or other motorists from unyielding territory.
The CJ7 represented the first class of Jeeps rolled out to provide
more hospitable accommodations for everyday driving while keeping
the nameplate's ultra-capable, no-nonsense heritage thoroughly
intact and this '84 takes full advantage of the squared off door
openings that came part and parcel with its refinement - a pair of
hard shell doors are included that pair with an also removable hard
top that's in great condition to provide a more sheltered driving
experience whenever you so choose.
The black vinyl interior has been energized with some upgrades and
inspired customization and offers very comfortable and functional
surroundings while you're behind the wheel. A pair of BeStop
reclining front buckets now sit in place of their original
counterparts, offering plenty of comfort and adjustability as they
straddle a center console to provide both cupholders and lockable
interior storage space. The door panels to each side are in top
notch condition and the floor is protected by Raptor spray in bed
liner that's yet to show any scuffs or blemishes. During more
spirited driving, you'll be protected by a custom roll cage that's
also been treated with the same liner to provide both durability
and a well-finished appearance. With an AM/FM/CD player mounted in
the dash, an Ipod hookup in the glove box and a custom tuffy box
sporting built in woofers also on board, this Jeep offers a
top-quality audio experience.
A period correct 258 cubic inch inline 6 powers this able
workhorse. It, along with the 4-speed manual transmission just
behind it, was rebuilt not long ago, so this is a road-ready
drivetrain that's completed by a sturdy AMC 20 rear end. Whether
you find yourself on city streets or more rugged terrain, the road
manners at your disposal will be top notch - the engine fires right
up and sounds great through its Flowmaster muffler, the
accompanying 4-speed transmission shifts smoothly and 4-wheel drive
surefootedness sits within easy reach of the driver via the pair of
stick shifts operating the Dana 300 transfer case - considered by
many to be the gold standard for this component. Combine the
substantial wheel clearance this CJ7 possesses with its solid
running condition, and you have yourself a ride that's ready to
navigate unforgiving land just as soon as you bring it home. Power
steering makes maneuvering around obstacles or around town equally
effortless, while power brakes that feature discs up front bring
the set of 15" Cragar wheels wearing beefy 33/12.5/15 tires to
prompt stops.
