Cruising time is here! 1956 short bed is one sweet ride. The cab and 3/4 of the frame are original, everything else was replaced. 350 small block Chevy has HEI ignition, Edelbrock intake, Holley dual pumper, Thump'r camshaft, ceramic coated headers feeding dual Flowmasters for a truly sweet sound. 350 TH transmission and a 10 bolt rear end. The front clip is all Camaro featuring independent suspension, power disc brakes and power steering. The firewall is smoothed over with all new master cylinder and the battery moved down to the frame rail in a stainless steel drop/down box. The dash features Autometer gauges in the original "V" configuration. The radio appears stock, but is AM/FM and controls a 10 disc CD changer. The heater controls also appear stock but also control the air conditioning. Steering column is all aluminum and tilts too. The door windows are power and have had the wing windows deleted. Wipers are also electric. This truck is a great cruiser, I just don't have time to get it out. It was professionally appraised for a replacement cost of $55,400.
