1978 International Scout II. This is a nice solid "as much as a Scout can be" vehicle. The truck has been sitting for 20 years after the gentleman that owned it passed away. It is very original and unmolested. I'll try to explain as best as I can the condition of the truck and post pictures so there are no surprises. Overall it's really pretty clean and straight with no indications of any collision accidents. The chassis is absolutely immaculate, and the body is really pretty straight. The truck still retains the original top with all of the original interior and headliner as well as the luggage rack. The interior is original and unmolested and still pretty nice other than the two front seats. The dash hasn't been cut up and still retains the original factory A/C and controls. Even the radio is still a two knob radio, so that wasn't even cut out. All of the glass except the windshield is very nice and usable.
As far as the body goes. The truck has similar rust to every other Scout. The left outer rocker is bad while the inner is cleaner and buildable. The left front floor in nice but the support is rusted out. I cant see the rear floor from underneath, but from the top it looks like it will have to be replaced. The inner rear wheel well is very clean but the outer has been poorly patched at some point. The doors are both nice. The right rocker hardly has any rust but it is spotting so it is there. The floor is the same, nice floor but supports rusted. The front sheet metal on it appears to be very clean. Even the lift gate and tail gate look nice. Overall while it does have rust it's much cleaner than most any Scout I've seen that's unrestored.
The drivetrain is a 345 with manual transmission with dana 44's and manual locking hubs. It will run and drive with a gas can but I didn't want to risk putting fuel in the gas tank. Which does have a skid plate by the way. Thank you and I hope I've answered most questions but if not feel free to ask and I'll help as much as I can. Clint. 719.358.1860
