Everyone loves a Little Red Corvette. 1962 Corvettes are among the
best loved of all. If you've ever had the pleasure to drive one,
you know. Young and old alike are quick with the thumbs up and
favorable comments. This little looker is supremely driveable with
a show car appearance. The drivetrain is updated with a 350 cubic
inch crate motor, fortified with an Edelbrock carb on a polished
Edelbrock intake. Unique polished aluminum valve covers give the
engine room a sophisticated look. A Griffin radiator assisted by an
electric fan allows even parade driving. Driving is easy thanks to
a 700R4 automatic with overdrive. The shifter is masterfully
installed in the stock location with LED shift position indicators.
The rest of the interior presents as original with the subtle
addition of a modern leather thick rim on the three spoke steering
wheel. With its bright red paint, red interior, and white
convertible top, this Corvette sports a highly desirable color
combination. Chrome wheels against red paint is an effective visual
combination, and this car pulls it off perfectly with 17 inch five
spokes all around. Radial tires and coil over shocks provide a
comfortable ride with taut handling. This build is the ideal setup
for cruising and show and shines, but with an added bonus. Out back
lurks the venerable Ford 9-inch rear, known for its capability in
any performance application. Along with the 700R4, this Corvette
can also provide the foundation for a formidable drag strip
performer. Street. Strip. Show. This 1962 Corvette is the epitome
of a classic hot rod.
