Vehicle Description

1966 MUSTANG CONVERTIBLE RESTOMOD

Beautiful EMBERGLO paint, 1863 miles since restoration in 2017.  Multiple trophies, three best of show, Best Ford, best paint, best convertible, best classic, 2019 calendar pick Route 66 Casino, Rods & Rides magazine pick, New Mexico Report best of show, best wheels, regional Mustang show gold award, and 21 more.

Front suspension shock towers removed and replaced with Heidts front end, rack and pinion power steering, shocks are coil over Alda-America adjustable, Wilwood disc brakes front end and rear, power assisted. Rear suspension, shocks and leaf springs are replaced by Heidts HD sway bar 4 link with Alda-America adjustable coil overs, 4 point link adjustable posi-track rear end, 3.73 gear ratio.

The front fender emblems shows that it is powered by a 347 c.i.  Under the hood is a Summit crate 347 stroker with Edelbrock 4 barrel carb and manifold, MSD ignition, Mustang valve covers, March Serpentine System.  Hooker ceramic headers with stage 8 hardware, exiting via Flow Master sweet sounding exhaust thru GT rear valance with the coveted trumpet tips.  Tranny is Pro Street 4 speed automatic.

Of course there is more, AC is controlled by existing dash controls exiting thru slim line vents.  Three core aluminum radiator, braided stainless plumbing.  Monte Carlo bar.  Electrical systems start with key fob with alarm system, remote start, electric fuel pump, electric fan, AOogah horn, lighted pony at entrance scuff panels in turquoise blue, including gauges, radio is digital, Clarion speakers,  AND AN EIGHT TRACK. Turn signals in the rear are LED sequential.  Antenna is windshield mounted as is the alarm.  Battery has disconnect.  Power top.  New chrome exterior door handles.

PONY interior in Emberglo and parchment, center console in black with cup holders, seat belts have the pony as does the glove compartment.

Steering column is adjustable Iditit with wood grain wheel.

The stance is perfect with 17" x 8" Status chrome 5 spoke wheels, radial rubber, wheel wells are trimmed, GT styling hood scoop, front and rear valance, fog lights.  Trim pony logos are found 51 times, including valve stem caps, gas cap,  chrome air cleaner hold down, console, seat belts, battery cover, floor mats, front quarter panels, accessory bag in trunk.  Trunk is finished in black, including spare cover with jack and special tool for the lug nuts, and a tool kit.  New spare tire.

Rear quarter panels, door panels, and sun visors were covered by Montoya's Upholstery using parchment.  Power top is black as is the boot cover.  Car is fun, fast, beautiful, rides great and straight, and gets the thumbs up everywhere.  You must see it in person to appreciate the depth of the paint and the straightness of the body.  Under-hood is pony logo acoustic, you can wear a hat with the top down and not feel the wind.  Included is custom car cover, trophies, sign board, daily floor mats, calendar, matching Renetto camp chairs.  1966 plate, chrome 1966 Mustang frame, Route 66 sign, Plexus for cleaning the rear window which is perfect, additional keys (original). 

Center console has the jacking instructions.  Safety mandate for 1966 electric wipers and seat belts.  Side windows are tinted.
