I am helping my retired friend sell his 1987 Buick Regal Type T with 131,764 miles. He has owned the car since 2012. The car is in nice overall condition for the age. It has a fresh tune-up with AC Delco plugs, wires, fuel pump, fuel filter and has a fresh oil change as well. Gauges, stereo, A/C all work. It has the factory stereo with new speakers. Floor pans have been replaced with one whole piece of GM Steel. The carpet was also replaced at some point and is in good condition. There are also T-type floor mats. The weather stripping has been replaced within the last 5 years. It has nice tires with very low miles. The engine compartment is clean and the car has been well maintained.
As far as we know, the engine is original. He did replace the transmission with one he took out of a Grand National he owned. It works great as well. Issues: The car is cold-natured on start up, but runs fine when warm. I was told this is a common issue with these cars. The car has been repainted and there are flaws in the paint behind the rear windows on both sides of the car. There is some rust on the left rear lower quarter panel, exterior only and on the right lower rocker panel underneath the chrome. The cruise control does not work. The seats have wear/fading. Please feel free to contact me with any questions. Thanks for looking!!
