Vehicle Description
This is a gorgeous presenting Silver Shadow finished in Shell grey
with dark grey leather interior. Completed with hand-painted fine
lines to the waistlines and hubcap beauty trim rings finished in a
contrasting dark blue. The exterior of the car is straight and is
totally rust free with the underside clean and tidy. It has been a
"snow-bird" Florida car most of its life. The paint is in excellent
condition with the finish high in luster and consistent all over.
It has only very minor little marks but certainly nothing
noticeable and mentioned purely for the purpose of clear
disclosure. It is very nice indeed. The paint is so good, that it
is quite clearly the result of a high quality repaint ($15,000+). I
would guess it was redone in the last 8-10 years with the car
having been used very little since. It presents beautifully with
all chrome and glass in good condition. Inside door edges and jams
are incredibly clean and tidy without unsightly overspray and all
the signs of a quality restoration. The interior of the car is
excellent. The front seats were re-upholstered (probably when the
car was repainted) and were done extremely well using high quality
leather and very correct stitching and padding. The "crowns" to
seat pleats are excellent. The rear seat is original and all
matches in very well. Truly exquisite and the photos show this
well. The interior is without any tears or unsightly wear marks and
truly looks lovely. The headliner was also redone in correct
broadcloth wool in a matching dark grey and the door cappings
refinished to a very high standard. The dash wood is original and
does have some minor hair-line fractures in the clear but the
underlying wood excellent. It doesn't "demand" re-doing but should
you wish these to be redone to match the rest of the wood, please
speak to us as we do this in-house and would be happy to do so for
you. A new modern stereo has been fitted with high quality,
discretely mounted extra speakers. In keeping with tradition, a
Blaupunkt unit was a great choice. Door panels, finishings,
interior chrome work, gauges and instruments are all in very fine
condition. The carpets are new - not factory correct material but
with factory mouton overlays included so they present well - and
the rear parcel shelf and dash pad are all in very fine condition.
The trunk carpet looks is the same as used in the interior and is
in good condition. Tyres are brand new 215/75 whitewalls, with the
hubcaps straight and the stainless steel shiny. Mechanically the
car is excellent. Like all our cars, it has been recently
work-shopped with all the hydraulics/braking system serviced and
working well. The car has been well maintained over the years with
the more typical items having been done. At Park-Ward, we went over
the entire vehicle and attended to whatever was needed. This
included solid and flexible brake lines, reservoir flush, brake
pumps and accumulators, calipers, valves and restrictors. Service
and maintainence has upgrades to include later model front shocks
and towers - a vast improvement. The engine truly purrs. The car is
very spritely in power which is a good sign of a well cared for and
good condition motor. The ride is smooth and quiet with none of the
rattles and squeeks that can be typical of this model. The odometer
reads 92,000 and although not verifiable, shows every sign of a low
mileage example to the extent that you would be forgiven to think
she has done less than 50,000. A/C blows ice cold and the heater
works well. Electricals have all been serviced so windows, seats
and features & functions work as they should. All interior and
exterior lighting has been checked with all bulbs and lamps
functioning correctly. The original Rolls-Royce jack and operating
manual come with the car.
