This 1968 MGB GT was bought new from Westlake Import Motors in
Elmhurst, Illinois and spent nearly 20 years in California before
being moved to Texas in 1991. A restoration beginning in 2012
included a repaint in off-white over a red leather interior as well
as installation of a rebuilt 1.8-liter inline-four and four-speed
manual gearbox, an electrically-actuated overdrive, a
European-style steel dash, and more. The seller has owned the car
for 16 months, reportedly adding 700 of the 1,400 miles driven
since completion of the work. Maintenance in March 2018 reportedly
included an oil change, greasing of the front end, re-torquing the
cylinder head bolts, and fluid checks as well as adjustment of the
valves, carburetors, and hatch lock. This BGT is offered with a
rebuilt Blaupunkt radio, spare parts, a car cover, a book outlining
the history of the car, other MGB literature, restoration photos
and receipts, and an Illinois title in the seller's name. This
