For the serious auto enthusiast & collector, up for consideration is this very rare model of Buick, a "Marquette", built less than one year, between 1929 & 1930. This one is a four door sedan that has been partially restored, but needs someone with the experience, work space, & equipment to complete the restoration. I have all the needed materials & parts to complete the restoration. A master upholsterer redid the seats some years ago, with mohair cloth, matching the original. SOME HISTORY: The Buick company intended to give the Ford Model 'A' some competition, producing all of the models of the Marquette beginning in 1929, but when the stock market crash came in October of that year, production ceased, leaving very few in existence. An article in a 1970's car magazine said that research done on the Marquette indicated that there was probably only 10 or 12 left in existence between all models. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone to complete and own a very rare auto. This car is located in a small town about 65 miles south of Minneapolis, Minnesota, right off of the Interstate 35 Freeway.
