Vehicle Description
***SALE PENDING*** Like all Chryslers, the Newport was redesigned
in 1963, with a slab-sided square shape, a bold trim line running
around the car at the top of the fenders, and four headlights that
we're no longer tilted. All Chrysler models now shared the same
122-inch wheelbase. Due to its iconic fins, 1961 Chrysler Newports
have been the most collectible model year, though interest in the
defined 1962 model and the slab-sided 1963 and 1964 Newport is
increasing. Convertible Newports in particular are handsome and
interesting choices. These cars are something of a value today.
Here we have a two-owner '63 that comes complete with every piece
of paperwork from day one, including the original window sticker
and bill of sale! Sold new in Chicago, IL and staying with the same
family until 2018, this car has recently been gone through from
front to back, top to bottom and is now a beautiful running and
driving classic rag top once again. Mileage is believed to be
original, and both motor and trans perform flawlessly. Overall an
extremely solid car, the only evidence of paint work being the
right front fender and trunk lid - and there is receipts included
in the nearly one inch file of documents. Everything works,
including the clock. Recent services include plugs, points, carb
kit, water pump, radiator hose, wires, wheel cylinders, brakes,
battery, pump and motor for top, valve cover gaskets, radiator cap,
fresh oil and filter. The only remaining items that should be
addressed are tires and muffler. The 361 V8 was known for it's
efficiency, having the ability to achieve 20mpg! Here is your
chance to own a V8 convertible without having to break the bank!
Asking $9995 - reasonable offers always considered.
