Vehicle Description
STK 2604 1965 Ford Mustang
The introduction of the Mustang created a new class of automobile
known as the 'pony car'. The Mustang's styling, with its long hood
and short deck, proved wildly popular and inspired a host of
competition. The first generation Mustang was manufactured from
1964 until 1973 and this handsome 1965 Mustang coupe has had a nice
restoration. The solid body was professionally reshot in original
Ivy Green in 1981 and the finish is still in very good condition,
but there is a little webbing on the rear deck. Chrome and
stainless trim are excellent. Period-correct Mustang 'Magnum 500'
chrome wheels mount BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. The interior was
fully restored and is stunning - seats, carpeting, door panels and
dash are excellent. An aftermarket AM/FM sound system delivers your
tunes. This Mustang was an 'A' code car from the factory - 289/4V
'Windsor'. This engine compartment looks totally stock, but we are
not positive that it is the original engine. At time of purchase,
the current owner was told that it is the original engine that was
completely rebuilt in 2012. This 'A' code Windsor with 10.0:1
compression and Autolite 4100 4-barrel carb was factory rated at
225bhp and 305lb/ft. The motor runs beautifully and sounds great
through dual exhaust. Power to the ground is delivered via a
4-speed manual gearbox and factory differential. The solid chassis
is equipped with manual steering, manual disc/drum brakes w/new
dual master cylinder and new shocks. If you want a fun, classic
Blue Oval, this sharp Mustang coupe has your name on it. ALL
VEHICLES SOLD "AS IS".
