Vehicle Description
This 1977 Ford Ranchero GT represents the final generation of the
legend, and with its cool looks, V8 power, and A/C interior, this
one really does its history proud. The affordable price is just the
cherry on top.
Not only is this the final generation for the Ranchero, but it's
arguably the best one, too. Ford's LTD wanted to be both premium
and sporty, and that design translates well into this pickup/coupe.
Its Lincoln-inspired marker lights, full silver strobe stripe
package, and flared fenders make this look like a true GT machine.
Plus, the factory-correct blue has a timeless appeal that you
didn't get from most '70s-style earthtones. Big chrome bumpers and
Mag-style wheels complete this very vintage and sporty look.
Inside is more blue and plenty of comfort. The bench seat now has a
comfy cloth bottom, and you can fold down the center armrest for
individual bucket-like space. The factory air conditioning is even
blowing ice-cold. There's a great vintage feeling with the classic
dual-spoke steering wheel and premium LTD details. But as a true
GT, they give you the full gauge package surrounded by a sporty
machine-turned aluminum panel.
Under the hood is Ford's mighty 400 cubic-inch V8. It has a
well-maintained look from the crisp hoses to the bold blue block.
And more signs of proper care come from how the V8 fires up nicely
and the three-speed automatic transmission shifts smoothly. It has
the right power and torque to be a fine cruiser, and that attitude
is backed up further by great driving features, like power
steering, power brakes w/discs up front, and sway bars front &
rear.
This classic Ranchero GT is a Charlotte DSO 22 car, and shows all
the right signs of being a proper local boy. It means this has the
right history and the right look to be an outstanding and
affordable classic. Call now!
