powered by a horizontally opposed, overhead-valve, air-cooled
1192cc engine with a light alloy block and a Solex single-barrel
carburetor. It has a 4-speed manual transmission, upgraded 12-volt
electrical system, hydraulic front and rear drum brakes. The
exterior features the original unitized steel body with original
floor pans, 15" rims and tires, stock chrome trim and bumpers,
Wolfsburg Hood Crest, spring-loaded hood and large taillights. The
undercarriage is as clean as the rest of the vehicle. The interior
features red basket-weave seats with additional seatbelt mounting
points added by the factory, red-and-white door panels with
original driver's side pocket and passenger's side armrest, white
perforated headliner, black carpeting, fresh-air heat exchanger
heater box, AM radio, glove box, compressed-air windshield washer
and a gas gauge.
