I am selling this 1955 Mercury Montclair two door coupe.This was my father-in-laws car. Everything described is true to my knowledge. The car has a 2 speed Merc-O-Matic Automatic transmission, with the shifter on the column. The engine easily starts, runs good, and the car drives. It does not have the original engine, it appears to be a 1970's ford engine. The odometer reading is at 39,025 miles. The sheet metal and frame are structurally solid. The paint is OK with a couple of scratches, looks good at 10 feet. It looks like a new gas tank and radiator. New brake lines installed several years ago. New custom carpet has been installed. The heat and ventilation controls need to be connected. New heater fan installed but electrical not connected yet.
The things I know that needs fixing:
-Some pitting noted on chrome trim
-Exhaust tip on the driver side is rusted.
-The clock and radio doesn’t work and the antenna is broke off.
