response to the Ford Thunderbird in the nascent personal luxury car
market when it was released on October 4, 1962. Over the course of
35 years of production, these large, comfortable, and exciting
two-doors helped Buick keep performance from going extinct. Our
beautiful 1969 Buick Riviera GS is a fine example of the personal
luxury segment that became so popular in the 1970's. Our big, bold,
Buick was loaded from the factory with features and options
including a numbers matching 430 ci/360 hp V8, TH400 automatic

windows (A31), air conditioning (C60), AM/FM Sonomatic radio with
