1959 Chevrolet Apache Short Bed Fleetside Pickup. DGT1176 VIN#
3A59L111176. This is a great looking Apache in the hard to find
short bed. This truck is set up with a small block 283 V-8,
automatic transmission, and power steering. The braking system has
also been up graded, with a power booster and disc brakes on the
front and drum brakes on the rear. The turquoise and white colors
are a great combination on this truck and really make it stand out,
a real eye catcher! The body is very straight, there are a few
small bubbles in the driver side door. There is some road wear
showing in the paint where you can see rock chips around the front
end. There are some other small chips throughout the body. The
interior is done in a medium grey cloth and looks great. The
steering column has tilt and an aftermarket tachometer has been
mounted on it. There is also a gauge cluster(Volt, OilPressure,
Water Temp) that has been mounted under the dash. A C/D player has
also been mounted under the dash. There are two speaker boxes
behind the seat and two smaller speakers in the kick panels. The
engine compartment is very clean with no signs of oil leaks, at
least from the top side of the engine. The wood in the bed has been
replaced and looks good. The under side is just an underside. It's
never been restored so you will find some imperfections to be
expected. The pickup box has a tonneau cover. This is a very good
looking driver quality truck that is enjoyable to drive.
