1954 Kaiser Manhattan 226 cu in L-head 6-Cylinder Engine McCulloch
Supercharged Model Automatic Transmission 4 Door Sedan Same owner
for 15 years. The body is straight and paint and chrome bits are in
great shape. The interior has retained many of its original
details. Note the full upholstered dash with good instrumentation,
clean steering wheel, and original radio and clock. Seats covers
are in great condition and free of tears. Carpet and door panels
are clean and all glass is original. Clean undercarriage and body.
Runs & Drives great! After Oldsmobile declined to sell them their
Rocket 88, Kaiser struck a deal with McCulloch (renamed Paxton in
1956) to use their VS57 supercharger on the venerable L-head six.
This provided an almost 20% power bump from stock, and at the time
it was the only production car with a factory equipped blower.
Around 1200 Manhattans were produced in 1954. Please Note The
