Jeep CJ-7s have traditionally been very successful in the sport of
mud racing as well as rock climbing. This unbelievably beautiful CJ
has done. . . none of the above. A recipient of a thorough
frame-off restoration, from its nearly flawless black finish to its
chrome bumpers and grille, this outstanding CJ would be as much at
home at a custom car show as it would on rugged terrain. More than
a pretty face, this Jeep has the hardware to back up its big-tire,
lifted attitude. It comes equipped with the beloved 304 V8.
Performance and driveability are enhanced with the addition of fuel
injection by Performance Fuel Injection Systems. The engine appears
in its proper red color and has a chrome air cleaner and valve
covers to finish off a very nice engine bay. The transmission is
none other than a GM Turbo 400, one of the most rugged and reliable
transmissions of all time. The Jeep sits on a 2.5 inch lift, making
room for monster 37-inch tires and blacked out Raceline aluminum
wheels. A true highlight of this Jeep has to be the interior. Tan
bucket seats and a custom center console make a pleasing contrast
to the jet black dash and roll bar. Take control with a comfortable
thick rim 3-spoke steering wheel on a chromed tilt column. The
interior also features a roll bar, back bench seat, and a Kenwood
stereo. No ordinary radio, this beast uses two 1000 watt amplifiers
and a Kicker subwoofer to get its point across. There are other
nice features, like chrome diff covers and exhaust tips that drive
home the point that this is a thorough, nicely detailed restoration
of a classic 1983 Jeep CJ-7.
