Vehicle Description
This 1957 E-Code Ford Fairlane 500 is the result of a body-off
restoration with limited miles since. Under the hood resides the
312ci Thunderbird Special V8 engine equipped with the correct
E-code performance carburetion package with two 4-barrel
carburetors, optional Thunderbird-logo engine accessories and the
single large-diameter air cleaner. Moreover, despite being a
high-level trim package, this car was special-ordered without
power-robbing accessories for optimum performance. It is backed
with a 3-speed standard shift manual transmission, Ford's most
effective racing transmission in 1957. With an odometer reading of
701 miles since its restoration by Amos Minter, this Fairlane is
finished in factory-ordered Raven Black paint complemented by a
black and red interior with chrome accents. Inside is a factory
radio, in-dash clock and stylized door panels, while the outside
showcases numerous chrome trim lines, Fairlane 500-script emblems,
front bumper guards, peaked rear-fender sheet metal and
driver's-side outside mirror. With the 1957 Ford factory engine
dress-up kit with aluminum valve covers, chrome wire wheels and
wide whitewall tires, this restoration is presented nicely
throughout.
