For Sale: 1966 Pontiac GTO in Arlington, Texas

Vehicle Description

1966 Pontiac GTO

The classic GTO started as a trim package on the Pontiac Lemans before it finally became its own model in 1966. This also came with some changes in the look as the front dual grills now had a slope and the rear taillights were now more centered and framed with stainless trim. This 1966 GTO is a nicely built car that is ready for a new home. It is painted in a nice Black paint with thin Red pinstripes running down each side. The pinstripes are under the clear and accent the bodylines perfectly. All of the original style stainless and chrome is nicely mounted in place. Many call the GTO the grandfather of muscle cars which makes a lot of since looking at this car. The long 2 door body and sloping roofline follow the look that all muscle cars in the late 60s would start to incorporate. This goat has an awesome stance with a slight forward slope that makes it look quick even when it is just sitting still. Cragar SS wheels sit under all four corners and are wrapped with BF Goodrich tires.

The 428 V8 motor in the car was just entirely gone through and is freshly rebuilt. The car runs really well and has a great sound through the dual exhaust. The pistons, rings, etc were all replaced and a brand new Holly 750 cfm carburetor installed. It also has chrome valve covers, a polished intake, and cool flex hoses. Backing the motor up is a Muncie 4 speed transmission that moves through the gears with ease. The car has all power options including power steering and brakes which makes it very comfortable to drive. Up front the car has had a new front brake conversion to disc which is a nice addition to have.

The interior is done in Black vinyl and is mostly original. The only big modifications include aftermarket AM/FM/CD stereo. Mounted to the floor is a Hurst shifter and the car even has the Hurst equipped emblem on the rear deck lid. The dash has the original layout with the gauges mounted in the original style wood panel. The trunk of the car is nicely carpeted and has plenty of storage space.

The classic GTO is an iconic muscle car and this one is being offered up at a very reasonable price. Look around at other GTOs for sale and you won't see many available in the 30K range especially with a fresh fully rebuilt motor.

Take it home for the very reasonable price of $32,500.00!
